History

The 60 beautiful acres that now make up the Oak Forest community were once Lots 32 and 33 in the 1678 division of 30-acre lots in Little Compton. The 1980s creation of the Oak Forest subdivision included Sawyer Burying Ground, also known as Rhode Island Historic Cemetery #43, which you can find on the corner of Oak Forest and Sakonnet Roads.

51 homes now make up the Oak Forest subdivision and through the Oak Forest Owners Association, we are all dedicated to creating a peaceful, neighborly community where we love to live.
